Notice of Tax Sale - May 1, 2024 @ 10am

 

The resident and nonresident owners, lien holders and mortgagees of lands in the Town

of Sheffield in the County of Caledonia are hereby notified that the taxes assessed by such Town

for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 remain, either in whole or in part on the

following described lands in such Town, to wit:


1. REAL ESTATE OF SANDRA AUSTIN AND ALAN AUSTIN Parcel #122-042-11

Being a parcel of land consisting of 11.50 acres, more or less, together with a mobile

home and any other improvements thereon, located at 66 Whittier Drive in Sheffield, Vermont

being all and same land and premises conveyed to Alan Austin and Sandra Austin by quit claim

deed from Michelle Tanner and Alan Tanner dated August 29, 2019 and recorded in Book 62 at

Page 541 of the Sheffield land records.


2. REAL ESTATE OF SAGE BATCHELDER Parcel #001-034-03 (Removed)

Being a parcel of land consisting of 10.00 acres, more or less, together with the right of

way appurtenant thereto, and any other improvements thereon, located at 352 Berry Hill Road in

Sheffield, Vermont being all and same land and premises conveyed to Sage Batchelder by

warranty deed from Roger W. Heywood dated June 1, 2021 and recorded in Book 64 at Page 110

of the Sheffield land records.


3. REAL ESTATE OF LISA CUSHMAN Parcel #035-010-20

Being a parcel of land consisting of 18.50 acres, more or less, together with a mobile

home and any other improvements thereon, located at 31 Ingalls Drive in Sheffield, Vermont

being all and same land and premises conveyed to Lisa Cushman by warranty deed from Walter

H. Bickford, Jr. dated November 19, 2004 and recorded in Book 48 at Page 367 of the Sheffield

land records.


4. REAL ESTATE OF DEBRA EMERSON AND JAMES EMBER Parcel #003-089-01(Removed)

Being a parcel of land consisting of 2.25 acres, more or less, together with a camp and

any other improvements thereon, located at 1420 Old Duck Pond Road in Sheffield, Vermont

being all and same land and premises conveyed to Debra Emerson and James Ember by warranty

deed from Bradley G. Whittemore dated October 17, 2011 and recorded in Book 55 at Page 165

of the Sheffield land records.


5. REAL ESTATE OF JASON KORPI Parcel #122-041-06

Being an unlanded mobile home, located at 4499 Vermont Route 122 in Sheffield,

Vermont to Jason Korpi by a Vermont Mobile Home Uniform Bill of Sale from Brault’s Mobile

Homes Inc., dated August 28, 2009 and on file at the Sheffield land records.


6. REAL ESTATE OF ROBERT KRAUS AND OKSANA KRAUS Parcel #024-066-03 (Removed)

Being a parcel of land consisting of 73.00 acres, more or less, together with any other

improvements thereon, located at 56 Drake Place Road in Sheffield, Vermont being all and same

land and premises conveyed to Robert Kraus and Oksana Kraus by warranty deed from Charles

R. Mannix, Jr., and Joan Mannix dated February 5, 2020 and recorded in Book 62 at Page 413 of

the Sheffield land records.


7. REAL ESTATE OF TONI LAPOINT Parcel #122-013-02

Being an unlanded mobile home, located at 1705 Vermont Route 122 in Sheffield,

Vermont to Scott LaPoint and Toni LaPoint by a Vermont Mobile Home Uniform Bill of Sale

from Shirley Simpson dated August 4, 1997 and recorded in Book 44 at Page 405 of the

Sheffield land records.


and so much of such lands will be sold at public auction at the Sheffield Town Office, a public

place in such Town with an address of 37 Dane Road, Sheffield, Vermont 05866, on the 1st day

of May, 2024 at 10:30 o'clock in the morning, as shall be requisite to discharge such taxes with

costs, unless previously paid.
